SLS Nylon 12
Strong – and ideal for complex assemblies
Nylon is the most commonly used material for selective laser sintering, with Nylon 12 – a single component powder – being the preferred version (PA12). Having proved to be ideal for functional prototyping as well as end-use production, Nylon possess the qualities required for complex geometries whilst remaining stable in the environment.
Nylon12 parts printed on the Fuse 1 SLS Formlabs 3D printer are impact resistant and possess high wear-and-tear qualities. The material is resistant to water, solvents, heat, UV and light. It has a tensile strength of 50 MPa with an Elongation at Break of 6-11%.
