From the pioneers of the desktop 3D printer comes an industrial-grade, carbon fibre 3D printing machine that fits into an office environment. The Makerbot Method X Carbon Fibre edition takes a top-of-the range Method X 3D printer and pairs it with a revolutionary new extruder that has been redesigned to work with Makerbot’s new Nylon Carbon Fibre material. Engineers that want to take advantage of carbon fibre to make strong, lightweight parts need look no further. A heated build chamber that can reach 110 degrees Celcius helps increase the strength of the part, and the machine is flexible enough to print in other popular materials as well.

Once you have experienced the weight savings and increased strength that carbon fibre offers, you have a smorgasbord of other materials to choose from, such as ASA, ABS, PC-ABS and PC-ABS FR, along with Stratays SR-30 support material.

Makerbot Cloud

Use Makerbot Cloud to print to the machine directly from CAD software such as Solidworks, Autodesk Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor and Onshape. As this is a cloud solution, the job can be started from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. There is also an app, Makerbot Connect, for iOS and Android devices that lets you see an image of your build.
