Stratasys J850 Digital Anatomy 3D Printer

For establishments that need to train surgeons and test new medical devices, this new machine is ideal. The Stratasys J850 Digital Anatomy 3D Printer produces incredibly realistic representations that can be used as both visual and functional models. Using new base materials that have been exclusively produced for this printer, you can create models that look and feel like human tissue. The Stratasys J850 Digital Anatomy 3D Printer can be used to help verify medical devices faster, helping your hospital to benefit from new technologies earlier. This machine can reduce your overall cost by up to 70% compared to fabricated simulators, animal studies and using cadavers.

Key features

  • Uses Polyjet technology to create medical models that look and respond like the real thing. No painting or assembly needed
  • The 3D models can help you to use operating theatre time more efficiently, reducing costs
  • Create models such as a heart, complete with functional cords, annulus, valves and calcifications
  • Improve patient outcomes by producing realistic models that can help surgeons develop new skills in a risk-free environment
  • New base materials combine with existing Polyjet materials to form more than 100 digital material options
  • Intuitive software selects the correct materials for you based on what you are trying to produce
  • The biomechanical accuracy of the J850 sets it apart from other kinds of anatomical modelling
  • The 3D printer uses three new resin materials; GelMatrix, TissueMatrix and BoneMatrix which can all be printed to different sizes, strengths and resistances to create unparalleled accuracy down a thickness of 1mm.
  • Compatible with GrabCAD Print Software

Doing the thinking for you

With the ability to print scale models of a wide range of human and animal organs, the Stratasys J850 Digital Anatomy 3D Printer is one of the most advanced digital tools available to both educational and functional medical institutions. There is no need for you to know the combination of materials you need to use to achieve a particular look and feel – the Digital Anatomy Software does this for you. Simply chose the anatomy you are recreating, along with the properties you want it to have, and the software takes care of the rest. In addition, with an annual license, the software receives new anatomical applications and updates to existing ones as they are developed.

New medical materials

Three new materials make it possible to achieve a high level of realism. BoneMatrix is a strong, flexible material that retains its shape to simulate bone and connective tissue. TissueMatrix creates the look and feel of heart tissue and is the softest translucent material you can buy. GelMatrix is a gel-like support material that is easily removed from models of blood vessels with a wall thickness of just 1mm.
