Laser Lines to demonstrate new 3D printers at Southern Manufacturing 2020

Laser Lines will be exhibiting on stand E150 at Southern Manufacturing 2020, from the 11th-13th February at FIVE, Farnborough.

3D Printing solutions

3D printers on show will include the XM200C metal powder-bed fusion 3D printer from Xact Metal, which is a compact and affordable system that can produce quality metal parts from a variety of metal powders at a low cost.

Also on display will be the new Method 3D printer from MakerBot and the latest Form 3 3D printer from Formlabs. Laser Lines will also have a live demonstration and a comprehensive range of sample parts from leading manufacturers such as Stratasys, Desktop Metal and Additive Industries.

Laser Marking Solutions

Our stand will also include models from the new Datalogic Arex 400 series of fibre laser marking systems, suitable for users in advanced manufacturing, as well as a newly designed workstation that offers improved productivity. The Arex 400 solution is extremely flexible and versatile with an ultra-compact footprint, ideally suited to advanced robotic manufacturing systems where traceability, part ID and brand markings are paramount, such as the automotive market.

The Arex 400 systems have a high resistance single conduit head connection and the capability to operate at up to 40 degrees Centigrade, at 100% power. They also offer the smallest laser head size presently available, which makes them ideal for those who need to integrate a solution into a production line, where there is little space.

The Datalogic Arex 400 range includes 10W, 20W, 20W MOPA, 30W and 50W power options and enhanced safety circuitry that ensures the systems are suitable for even the most demanding OEM integrations and meet the most stringent safety requirements of modern industry.

At the show, Laser Lines will also be exhibiting a new workstation that has been designed to offer a very high-quality finish, with MARVIS software from Datalogic already combined. Compared to previous workstations, usability has been improved, and the new system offers a fully integrated marking and verification system, which includes a camera system to check the marking. The operator will be notified that the marking is complete only when it has reached agreed quality parameters.

Dave Earl, Business Manager for Industrial Lasers, says: “Southern Manufacturing is always a really good show for us, so we are looking forward to connecting with existing customers and new ones who are looking for solutions to marking and production challenges.

“Our stand will be manned by our experienced marking specialists who will be on hand to discuss your application needs and Laser Lines’ enhanced capabilities to provide a turnkey solution to mark and immediately validate codes – something that is becoming more and more important in today’s manufacturing processes.”
