Fortus 380mc

From high level functional prototypes, to manufacturing jigs, fixtures, assembly aids or end use parts, the new Fortus 380mc sets the standard for affordable performance, speed and accuracy.

With 7 standard and engineering grade materials and a build envelope of 355 x 355 x 305mm the Fortus 380mc 3D production system will build the most robust, accurate and repeatable parts to suit a variety of demanding applications.

With four slice heights to choose from and powerful InSight software; you can match build parameters to strike the right balance between strength, feature detail and the Fortus 380mc’s fastest build time.

Maximise your workflow with the new touch screen user interface, which is both intuitive, easy to use and powerful.

Key Features

  • Minimal operation and training time due to intuitive touch screen interface, loading options,  and easily accessible build trays when replacement is required
  • Zero noxious emissions from most build materials meaning no fume extraction equipment necessary and easy installation in almost any location
  • Ability to use many traditional FDM materials including ASA, Nylon12 and most PC and ABS filaments
  • Good build envelope of 355 x 305 x 305 mm
  • Bundled with powerful Insight software as standard
  • Material delivery with one bay for each material, support canisters and auto changeover between canisters.

Insight software as standard

Insight software 3D printing has many advantages, allowing users to print directly from CAD. Insight prepares your CAD program’s STL output to be manufactured on a Fortus system by automatically slicing and generating support structures and material extrusion paths. For maximum control, users can manually edit parameters that determine the look, strength and precision of parts as well as the speed and material use of the FDM process.

With Insight, you can:

  1. Optimise build orientation for maximum strength and smoothest surface finish
  2. Print directly from CAD
  3. Customise supports for fast, easy removal and best use of materials
  4. Program pauses into the build for any reason, such as to embed hardware or circuitry
  5. Manipulate tool paths for advanced control over part properties

Also included with all Insight printers is Control Center. This sophisticated software application communicates with user workstations and Fortus systems, to manage jobs and monitor production status. Users are able to share project information and files between teams, to create a more streamlined workflow. Design, engineering and manufacturing teams alike can network and share 3D manufacturing capacity to maximise efficiency and throughput of projects. This machine is also compatible with GrabCAD print software.
