Xact Metal XM200C

Bringing a new level of price and performance to metal 3D printing for entry-level operators for the first time, the XM200C is a compact system that can produce quality metal parts at a low cost. It is perfect for universities, prototyping laboratories and small to medium enterprises that require multiple machines.

Making quality metal printing accessible requires innovation. Xact Metal’s printing technology is built on the patent-pending Xact Core – a high speed gantry system platform that allows light, simple mirrors to move quickly and consistently above the powder-bed on an X-Y axis.

Key features

  • Avoids the use of complex rotating galvanometer mirrors and F-theta lenses
  • Maintains a constant laser angle across the whole build plate
  • A simplified gas flow over the powder-bed due to the smaller build chamber
  • The Xact Core laser system reduces the cost of the system without sacrificing the quality of the build.
  • Two cameras enable real-time monitoring of the build on the machine’s touchscreen.
  • A bulb-shaped recoater spreads the powder like a blade for increased performance and accuracy.
  • 100W Yb Fiber laser provides optimal power density with a minimum spot size of 20µm
  • Cloud monitoring allows you to see the progress of your jobs from any location.
  • Print several parts with ease using the entire 127 x 127 x 127mm build volume.
  • Supported by leading software such as Magics 3D Suite from Materialise and Netfabb from Autodesk.
  • Open platform architecture allows qualified users the ability to develop their own printing parameters or use their own powder.
  • Small system footprint allows for easy installation in any lab, workshop or factory facility

Intuitive interface

A handy touchscreen makes it easy to load files, set up build and monitor jobs. From here, you can easily change print settings, see a list of all the jobs to be completed and  monitor system parameters such as the chamber temperature and oxygen percentage/ pressure.

Materials

Supporting Stainless Steel, Super Alloys, Tooling Steels, Aluminium, Titanium and Bronze, the XM200C is ready to make your part in a fraction of the time it takes using traditional casting. Plus, its open platform means that qualified users can develop their own printing parameters or use their own powder.
