Customers experience industrial-scale additive manufacturing at our open day at DMC
Following the installation of a suite of products at the Digital Manufacturing Centre (DMC) in Silverstone, Laser Lines, the UK’s most established reseller of 3D printers and materials held the first of three open days for manufacturers to see the enhanced live production environment.
Mark Tyrtania, Sales Director at Laser Lines, said: “We are thrilled at how our first event at the DMC has gone. The DMC is a fantastic environment to showcase what the machines are capable of and feedback from attendees was really positive. We were delighted that so many product experts were able to join us for demonstrations and to answer customer questions. We have another two sessions planned and we recommend you book your space quickly, so you don’t miss out.”
The DMC is a sector-agnostic digital production facility with a focus on engineering-led solutions. It has many customers in the automotive, aerospace and medical industries, but the facility can be used by all market sectors.
From a variety of Additive Manufacturing (AM) systems and materials, through to finishing and inspection services, the DMC has been designed from the ground up with full traceability throughout the entire production pathway.
Located at Silverstone Park, DMC’s 2,000-square metre facility has been developed alongside several industry-leading technical partners. The facility will be certified to AS9100.revD in early 2022 and uses PPAP (Part Production Approval Process) and NPI (New Product Introduction) practices. The facility offers a wide range of technologies including Polymers, Metals, Carbons and Silicones.
