Meet Jordan Cox-Westley, customer sales support at Laser Lines
After working at an engineering firm for several years, Jordan joined Laser Lines and loves finding out about customer projects. We caught up with her to find out more about her role.
After working at CC Engineering where she was responsible for account and project management, Jordan joined Laser Lines just over two years ago to work in customer sales support. In that time, she has got up to speed with the range of products and applications for 3D printing. Now the first point of call if you are interested in a Formlabs or Makerbot printer, Jordan also does site visits, installs machines and helps with customer product training.
She adds: “New customers often have a lot of questions and I love being able to help them and see projects through from start to finish. Following purchase of their printer, if required I will deliver the unit, install it, then show the customer how to operate it and train their team. Ensuring the whole process works seamlessly gives me a fantastic sense of achievement and job satisfaction.”
Jordan is also responsible for producing prototypes, sample parts and proofs of concept for customers. In addition, she is the person who ensures the CAD files are suitable and error free before printing, if those parts are being produced by Laser Lines’ bureau. She also supports the sales team with information support and producing quotes and will be lead person taking customers through the Formlabs and MakerBot workflow in Laser Lines’ new showroom and demo facility.
She says: “I love that my role has so many different facets to it – there is never a dull moment. But the best part is speaking to customers and helping them sort a challenge. Finding out how the products are being used is so interesting. I think working with designers and engineers keeps you on your toes and encourages you to see the world in a more creative way.”
