Laser Lines adds new materials to its portfolio
Stratasys has recently announced several new materials for its additive manufacturing products, which are now available from Laser Lines. They include the VICTREX AM™ 200 for the Fortus 450mc and F900, Weather X 100 for the Origin One and two new polymers for the F900.
VICTREX AM™ 200
The Victrex AM 200 filament is a high-performance, low-melt PAEK (polyaryletherketone) designed specifically for FDM additive manufacturing. Victrex AM 200 is formulated to provide dimensional stability and optimal interlayer bonding (Z-strength). It enables many high-performance applications because it is temperature, corrosion, and chemical resistant, with excellent mechanical properties and is usable with soluble and breakaway support material.
Somos® WeatherX™ 100
Somos® WeatherX™ 100 for Origin One is an environmentally durable DLP photopolymer that produces parts repeatedly and predictably, with performance properties that last the product’s lifetime. Tested against the most stringent SAE industry specifications, it demonstrates optimised behaviour when considering weather, dimensional stability, and robustness in printing and post-processing.
The material’s differentiating properties of improved performance under intermittent exposure to UV, chemicals and water makes it suitable for a range of diverse use cases such as:
- indoor applications like flow meters or washing equipment components
- industrial equipment like housings and brackets
- automotive interior components
FDM HIPS (High-Impact Polystyrene)
FDM HIPS is high-impact polystyrene in a 3D printing filament form. Its mechanical properties are like ABS in most respects, but it offers a higher impact resistance than ABS, providing durability for 3D printed parts. It is particularly suited for use on the Stratasys F900.
KIMYA PC-FR
KIMYA PC-FR is a polycarbonate FDM 3D printing material with flame-retardant properties. This low moisture sensitive filament has good dimensional stability, a wide operating temperature range (-80 to 105°C) with its high Tg and good impact resistance. It has been designed for compliance with fire safety regulations, such as the EN 45545 European railway standard for fire safety, making it highly suitable for passenger rail and air transportation applications. It is suitable for demanding applications such as the production of parts in the automotive sector and in electrical and electronic fields.
