Breathtaking Realism with Stratasys’ New VeroUltra Opaque Colours

Stratasys has launched two new materials: VeroUltra™ White and VeroUltra™ Black. These materials significantly improve the realism in parts, providing high contrast on a number of Pebbles Sample Veroultra Smalldiverse applications including text, wood, fabrics and marble.

“PolyJet 3D printing continues to be the best-in-class modeling solution for designers as we continuously improve,” said Stratasys Design Vice President Shamir Shoham. “What seemed impossibly realistic last year is even better this year.”

Achieving great CMF (Colour, Material and Finish) results has always been a complex issue but Stratasys has forged the way – now offering designers both the systems and the Veroultramaterials to match their ambitions. The introduction of PANTONE® Validated colours was a game-changing move, along with the addition of transparent materials like VeroUltra Clear and the new opaque colours, has resulted in greater palette options available to the designer.

“The colour quality is superb,” said Dennis Harroun, a part designer with Mana Digital Albuquerque, “Stratasys’ opacity is by far the best I’ve seen from 3D printing, hands down, and it would be extremely difficult to replicate the quality through any other modeling method.”

The new opaque colour materials are available now for the J8 Series™ and J7 Series™ 3D printers and in June for the J55™ 3D printer.
