The MakerBot Replicator+ builds on the success of its predecessor – quite literally. Not only is it 30% faster but, it also increases the build volume by a quarter and is 27% quieter. The redesigned z-stage features MakerBot’s brand new Grip Surface. The Grip Surface holds your object steady but bends to allow easy removal once 3D printing is complete. With the more durable Smart Extruder+ and a factory-levelled build surface, the cloud-enabled Makerbot Replicator+ is ready to work out of the box. The Replicator+ is also paired to redesigned desktop and mobile apps enabling wireless printing and remote monitoring using the on-board camera.
The Smart Extruder+ features a lengthened, non-stick channel between the drive gear and nozzle, and improved encoder wheel to reduce friction. The redesigned Smart Extruder+ underwent 160,000 hours of testing in order to produce MakerBot’s most reliable extrusion head ever. Featured on the Makerbot Replicator+, it produces layers just 100 microns thick for smooth, representative proof-of-concept output.
Compatible with the Replictor+, the all-new MakerBot Print software is free to download and use. It streamlines the 3D printing process from start to finish. With the Print software, you can import original files or download them from Thingiverse, then watch an animated preview before committing it to print in order to avoid wasting materials. The Makerbot Print Software can also automatically arrange objects across several build plates for simultaneous production on multiple printers, helping to improve 3D printing workflow.
