The Replicator Mini+ is the perfect entry-level 3D printer for education and classroom use. At 100 microns, its layer thickness is just half of its predecessor, the Replicator Mini, for smoother, more realistic results, and while its build volume is almost a third larger, it’s also 10% faster for more efficient throughput of multiple objects and 58% quieter. The z-stage has been redesigned and is now levelled at the factory, so it’s ready for use right away. It also features MakerBot’s new Grip Surface for a more secure purchase on printed objects and, as it bends, quick and easy release.
Direct access to Thingiverse is built in to MakerBot’s redesigned Print software. With more than 1.7 million models on offer, you can download and remix them however you choose before sending them to the Replicator Mini+ or any other MakerBot printer. The newly introduced Thingiverse Education extension provides hundreds of free lessons that make 3D printing relevant to the classroom.
The rewritten MakerBot Mobile software makes setting up the Replicator Mini+ easier than ever. With guidance on connecting to Wi-Fi and loading material, it will have you up and running in less than fifteen minutes. As well as connecting to Thingiverse, it lets you load models from your MakerBot cloud account, already optimised, scaled and sliced for printing, wherever you happen to be.
